  • Mike had a great time earlier this month speaking the Web Summit 2017 in Lisbon, the largest tech summit in the world!
  • Mike had a very busy October and November! In addition to being honored by both Columbia University and the Huntsville Chapter of the National Space Society, Mike appeared at Symphony Space in NYC, headed over to London for a presentation for a multinational advertising agency, spoke to over 12,000 students at 46 schools throughout the US with the Columbia University Admissions office, and appeared as a guest on Freakonomics Radio’s  “Tell Me Something I Don’t Know”.
  • Mike hosted the fun and fascinating series “The Planets” on Science Channel – tune in! 
  • Mike hosted Science Channel’s prime time special “Great American Eclipse” on August 21 and had the honor of ringing the Nasdaq Opening Bell on August 17. 
  • It was a busy spring and summer for Mike, with appearances in Chicago, NYC, Cannes and Glastonberry, the World Science Festival and the fantastic Collision event; 
  • Mike was joined by his astro-buddy Don Pettit at the American Museum of Natural History in NYC for “Science Throwdown: Sea versus Space” where they had a good natured “debate” with aquanauts Fabien Cousteau and Liz Bentley Magee. Faith Salie hosted and everyone had a great time! (Space won!) 
  • Mike recently had the dual pleasure of appearing on The Dean Obeidallah Show on SiriusXM and speaking to a great group of NYC STEM teachers at the NYC Center for Space Science Education; 
  • March 3: NYC High School Students got to hear Mike tell his story “A View of Earth” at The Moth’s program at Lincoln Center
